OwnerEntry End-User License Agreement
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This agreement is between you and Jessen Bookkeeping LLC ("we," "us") and covers your use of OwnerEntry at tools.jessenbookkeeping.com (the "Tool"). By using the Tool or connecting it to QuickBooks Online, you agree to these terms. If you use the Tool for a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept them for that business.
1. License
We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tool to record your own business's transactions. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the Tool, use it to build a competing product, or use it in a way that interferes with its operation or with QuickBooks.
2. Educational tool, not professional advice
The Tool is an educational aid. It is not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and using it does not make Jessen Bookkeeping your bookkeeper or accountant. Booking a paid service with us is a separate agreement.
3. Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate information and choose the right QuickBooks accounts.
- Review every entry before you post or import it. You are responsible for what is recorded in your books.
- Check that a transaction is not already in QuickBooks, so it is not recorded twice.
- Connect only QuickBooks companies you are authorized to change.
- Talk to a tax professional before changing a year for which you have already filed taxes.
4. QuickBooks Online
When you connect QuickBooks, you authorize the Tool to read your list of accounts and company name, create the journal entries you approve, and delete entries it just created only when you click Undo. You can disconnect at any time. Your use of QuickBooks is governed by your agreement with Intuit. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc.; the Tool is not made, sponsored, or endorsed by Intuit.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
6. No warranty
The Tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy. We do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that its results will meet your needs.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jessen Bookkeeping LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, penalties, interest, or taxes, arising from your use of the Tool. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Tool will not exceed $100.
8. Indemnity
You agree to cover any claims, losses, or costs that arise from your misuse of the Tool or from information you enter that you did not have the right to use.
9. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Tool, or update these terms, at any time. Updated terms apply once posted here with a new effective date. We may end your access if you misuse the Tool. Sections 2 and 6 through 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
